Greetings and welcome to the Timbavati Blog. This blog
serves as a behind the scenes look at Timbavati Wildlife Park free from
distraction and crowds. My name is Chris Taylor and for the past week or so I
have been setting up a lot of social media and marketing campaigns for
Timbavati. This has afforded me to opportunity to make the park my home and I
can tell you that in the coming weeks you will learn just how comprehensive the
operation actually is.
It’s funny how I came to be a part of Timbavati and the
experience that it has to offer. I was taking my 21 month old daughter to ride
a train because she was terrified of them and every time she would hear one,
she would cry and seek her parents. I knew this had to stop and I figured that
the only way I could put an end to this was to put her on a train.
I took her to ride a train in the Wisconsin Dells, and after
our trip, we were riding on the Wisconsin Dells Parkway. That’s when it hit me!
This huge wall with murals all over it and a huge sign that read “Timbavati
Wildlife Park”, I saw that sign and immediately made a U-turn. I bought a
ticket and was completely blown away by what I saw.
I am from Milwaukee and we have a pretty big zoo. Fences
separate the animals from you of course, but there is also a ravine in between
you and the animal enclosures. Basically for me it’s the equivalent of sitting
in the cheap seats at a major sporting event, not very sexy. Would Ludacris sit
up there? Nope Ludacris would be so close he could smell the animals.
With all due respect to any other parks that I can compare
Timbavati to, hands down Timbavati is the best. Not only did I get my daughter
on a train ride but I got her on a safari train ride complete with wild
animals! She was able to feed a Giraffe and touch a tortoise. Why was she able
to touch a tortoise you ask? Because one of the staff members saw she had an
interest in them and pulled one out for her to pet. I mean where does this
happen at? No where but Timbavati for me!!
So I was hyper-impressed with my experience at Timbavati
Wildlife Park and upon my exiting the facility I sought the owner Mark
Schoebel. I told him how impressed I was with the park and asked him what he
was doing to get the word out because I wasn’t familiar with the park.
Bam!! That was how it happened. I only want to work where I
believe in the product. I have the luxury at this point in my career where I
choose to work someplace or not. When I asked to help at Timbavati Mark and his
wife Alice with their trusted GM Rob Koscinski all felt like the timing and
mission were both right, as did I.
Now join us as we bring the Timbavati Wildife Park experience
to Wisconsin and the world. I got some pretty cool footage to share with you
all as well so keep your eyes open.
